Biography
Gretchen Mayer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Advanced Children, Youth, and Family Social Worker (C-ACYFSW) and since 1993 she has worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings. She currently has a private practice in Westlake Village, CA. Gretchen has worked with children coping with bereavement issues at the Hospice of the Conejo, countless teens in middle schools and high schools throughout the Conejo Valley via Jewish Family Services, adolescents in the Substance Abuse Program at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, runaway and homeless teens in Hollywood’s Teen Canteen, and clients with their families at the Red Oaks Center in Westlake Village.
Gretchen Mayer received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from UCSB and a Masters Degree in Social Work from USC, graduating from both with honors. She is a Certified Hospice worker and is also a member of the American Psychological Association, National Association of Social Workers, Conejo Valley Mental Health Association, and Psi Chi. In her spare time, she enjoys competing in horse shows, hiking, and running with her dog, Mia.
