Meet Gretchen Mayer, LCSW

Gretchen Mayer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in the Conejo Valley area since 2009.
 
After receiving a BA in psychology from UCSB and a master’s degree in social work from USC, Gretchen gained experience in a variety of counseling settings including Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Her goal as a psychotherapist is to help her clients improve their overall mental health and emotional well-being. We will work together to devise a treatment plan that is effective and long lasting even after treatment is discontinued. Some of the objectives of counseling will be to help you gain insight, identify triggers, and draw from your strengths to help you achieve your goals.
 
Gretchen offers an eclectic approach using psychodynamic theories and cognitive behavioral techniques that are evidenced based. She aims to accommodate each client’s needs and preferences with empathy, patience, professionalism, and optimism.
